Quality Assurance
We have now three Certificates of Registration with the Care Inspectorate.
The main services have two certificates.
Certificate 1. Registration number CS2003005812 Day Care of Children.
This covers our Afterschool Care, Sunday Club term time and Holiday Playschemes for a maximum of 25 children Primary school age up to 19 years.
The certificate states that "staffing levels should be influenced by the additional needs of children and young people using the service." All children are assessed by our staff prior to admission and correct staffing levels are agreed with parents/carers.
Certificate 2. Registration number CS2005092052 Support Service.
The Support Service provided will be provided to people in their own homes, in the community or attending community groups. The service is open to children from 5 years to adults with no current upper age limit.
The nursery service has one certificate.
Certificate 3. Registration number CS200923569 Buddies Clubs and Services Nursery.
The certificate gives numbers for all sections of the nursery and operating times
All services are inspected regularly by the Care Inspectorate and inspection reports are displayed on notice boards within the building and can be viewed on line at the Care Inspectorate website. These are also accessible at the footer of all pages on the website.
All our funding bodies also require us to complete regular monitoring and evaluation of our services. We also get regular feed back from families and services users. This feed back helps us develop and improve our services. Great emphasis is placed on in put from all the young people with support given to non verbal service users. Participation is vital to our success.
We are members of a range of organisations which help ensure quality assurance. These include Scottish Out Of School Care Network and the Local Child Care Forum.
We reguarly provide training opportunties for our staff in areas such as First Aid, Epilepsy Awarenesss & Rescue Medication Administration, Fire Awareness & Fire Warden, Makaton, Challenging Behaviour, De-Escalation, Child Protection and more to ensure our staff are capable of coping with scenarios they may encounter.
